Put a tape measure inside the bed, from the inside of the bulkhead (front wall) to the inside of the closed tailgate. Round to the nearest inch — a 69" measurement is a 5'8" bed.

Why Replace a Factory Rear Bumper
Factory bumpers are made from lightweight, formed outer shells designed to absorb impacts during collisions. They are not built to take the abuse of life on the trails or backing into solid objects during normal life. If you still have your factory rear bumper attached, a replacement may be a great upgrade.
