Measuring your bed
Put a tape measure inside the bed, from the inside of the bulkhead (front wall) to the inside of the closed tailgate. Round to the nearest inch — a 69" measurement is a 5'8" bed.
Bed length is measured inside the box, not along the outside of the truck.

Winch holds the units themselves. Common Questions
Do I need a winch mount or a winch bumper?
A mount is the smaller change. It carries the winch using the existing front end of the truck. A winch bumper replaces the factory bumper with a structure designed around the winch, which usually means a different look up front and a bigger job to install. What size winch do I need?
Winches are rated by pulling capacity, and the rating you need depends on what has to move: how heavy the vehicle is, whether it is loaded, and how bad the ground is. Rather than guessing, bring your year, make and model to any of our stores and staff will size one with you against the work you actually do.
What else do I need besides the winch?
At a minimum, something to mount it to and something to pull with. Beyond that, most people build a small recovery kit over time: shackles, a strap, gloves, and a way to protect a tree if you have to anchor to one. Those pieces are grouped under Recovery Gear and Shackles.
