Trucks are great for hauling your favorite boat, camper, or trailer. But your trailer hitch might not be able to handle the load! Your vehicle's towing capacity depends on its Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR). Always be sure to check your GVWR before towing. If you'll be towing something greater than your weight rating, your towing hitch won't be able to handle it and that could lead to disaster.

Hitch Pins, Locks & Trailer Hitch Accessories for Trucks

A quality trailer hitch is only as good as the hardware and accessories supporting it. Whether you need a replacement hitch pin to get back on the road, a keyed lock to protect your trailer from theft, or specialized mounting hardware for a heavy-duty towing job, H&H Truck & Outdoor has you covered. We carry hitch accessories from brands like CURT, Trimax, BOLT, Gen-Y Hitch, Weigh Safe, and Andersen Hitches, so you can keep your towing setup secure, functional, and complete.

Hitch Pins

A hitch pin is the fastener that secures your ball mount, cargo carrier, bike rack, or other receiver-mounted accessory inside your vehicle's hitch tube. Standard hitch pins use a simple clip or cotter pin to hold them in place, while locking hitch pins add a key-activated mechanism that prevents the pin and whatever is attached to it from being removed without the key.

Hitch Locks & Anti-Theft Protection

Trailer theft is a real and costly problem, and a quality hitch lock is one of the most affordable ways to protect your investment. Hitch locks work by securing the coupler to the ball, preventing a thief from simply backing up to your trailer and driving away. BOLT locks offer a unique advantage: their cylinders are designed to be re-keyed to match your existing vehicle ignition key, so you only need one key for your entire towing setup. Trimax and CURT offer heavy-duty padlock-style coupler locks, receiver locks, and combo packs that cover both the hitch receiver and the trailer coupler simultaneously.

Receiver Tube Extenders & Adapters

Sometimes your hitch receiver is in the right place, but your ball mount or accessory needs more clearance. Receiver tube extenders slide into your existing 2" or 1-¼" receiver and provide additional length, letting your bike rack, cargo carrier, or accessory mount further behind the vehicle. Hitch adapters allow you to step up or down between receiver sizes, useful when mounting a Class III accessory on a Class II hitch or vice versa.

Pintle Hooks & Heavy-Duty Mounts

For commercial towing, agricultural use, or any application that demands a more rugged connection than a standard ball mount, pintle hooks are the answer. A pintle hook and lunette ring connection is more tolerant of misalignment than a ball-and-coupler setup and can handle greater side-to-side movement under load, making it a popular choice for construction trailers, military equipment, and heavy utility use. H&H carries pintle hooks and mounting plates for a variety of hitch receiver sizes and weight ratings.

It is difficult to match the reliability of a pintle hitch. Their designs use a ball/hook and socket joint configuration to provide an extra-secure connection that stands up to all sorts of conditions and keeps you in control the entire time. A pintle hook receiver is an especially good choice for hauling trailers, boats, and other vehicles, and depending on the hitch it may even be able to pull tractors or other farm equipment.

Cargo Carriers & Receiver-Mounted Accessories

Your hitch receiver can do far more than tow. Receiver-mounted cargo carriers let you haul gear, luggage, toolboxes, or equipment directly behind your truck or SUV without taking up bed space or requiring a trailer. H&H carries folding and fixed-platform cargo carriers in a range of sizes and weight capacities, along with hitch-mounted steps that make accessing your truck bed easier, especially on lifted trucks.

Towing Accessories

You can make your setup even better with the right towing accessories. Whether it's wheel chocks, towing mirrors, or something else, we have one of the largest selections of towing accessories for trucks and cars. If you need to leave your trailer unattended, wheel chocks keep it in place while you camp or perform routine maintenance. Safety cables help keep your trailer connected, and a trailer hitch lock helps deter theft.

Trailer Accessories

Any trailer can be improved. Keyed locks protect boats, RVs, and ATVs from theft, and their corrosion-resistant, universal designs fit a wide range of trailers. A trailer jack adds stability while loading or unloading and helps position your trailer tongue while hitching up. A trailer tool box keeps your tools handy if you run into trouble on the road, and accessories like breakaway cables and safety pins help ensure your trailer always stays connected.

At H&H you can find a broad catalog of other towing supplies, including hitch locks, ball mounts, brake controllers, hitch wiring, and more. Whatever your passion, H&H has the trailer towing accessories you need to bring that passion with you wherever you decide to go.
