Set Up a Van That Works

An empty cargo van is a box. What makes it useful is what goes in it: shelf units that hold parts where you can reach them, racks for the long stock that will not fit inside, and screens for the glass. This section is the hub for the interior storage and the accessories around it.

Van Storage Systems is the larger of the two groups under here. WEATHER GUARD and Masterack account for most of it, with single items from CURT, DECKED and Rough Country. Alongside the shelving there are rack systems, including quick clamp racks, Safari van racks, and service body racks for trucks set up the same way.

Van Window Screen is the smaller group, covering screens fitted over van glass. Between the two, most of what people come in for is a shelf package sized to a specific van, so start by filtering to your vehicle rather than by brand.

It is worth setting a van up once and properly. Installation is available at all 22 of our stores, and if you are outfitting more than one, build them identically. Then anyone on the crew can find the same part in any van in the fleet.

Common Questions

How do I know a system fits my van?

Filter to your year, make and model first. Van storage is built around specific body shapes and wheelbases, so the same brand will list several versions of what looks like one shelf unit. If your van has been modified, or you are not sure which body you have, call a store with the VIN and let someone check it against the catalog.

What is the difference between the storage systems and the racks?

Storage systems live inside the cargo area and organize what you carry, using shelves, bins and the accessories that attach to them. Racks carry what will not go inside, such as ladders, pipe and long stock. Most working vans end up with both, and the catalog lists them separately so you can add one now and the other later.

Do I have to buy a whole package?

No. A lot of what is listed here is an individual accessory, such as a single shelf, a bin or a bracket, rather than a complete kit. That matters if you are adding to a van that already has shelving, or replacing one piece that got beaten up. Match the brand to what is already installed where you can.
