Brake Lines, Hubs and Lift Hardware
Two groups of parts share this page. One is what a lifted truck needs so the brake lines still reach and sit where they should: extended lines, relocation brackets and the small hardware that goes with them. The other is trailer axle work, including hubs, brake upgrade kits and breakaway cables.

Measuring your bed
Put a tape measure inside the bed, from the inside of the bulkhead (front wall) to the inside of the closed tailgate. Round to the nearest inch — a 69" measurement is a 5'8" bed.
Bed length is measured inside the box, not along the outside of the truck.

Lift a truck and the factory brake lines come up short. They were sized for stock suspension travel, and at full droop a stretched line is not a problem you want to discover on a trail. Rough Country lists both extended brake lines and the relocation brackets that move a line's mounting point to suit the new geometry.
On the trailer side, Timbren brake upgrade kits and a CURT brake hub cover axle work, and Blue Ox breakaway cables handle the part of a trailer inspection people forget until it matters. Skyjacker, Superlift, BDS Suspension, Fabtech, Zone Offroad, JKS and Rugged Ridge round out the lift-related hardware.

Common Questions
Why do I need longer brake lines after a lift?
A lift increases how far the suspension can drop, and the factory line was cut for the stock range of travel. At full extension a short line gets pulled tight, chafes, or tears at the fitting. Extended lines give back the slack. A relocation bracket solves the same problem from the other end, by moving where the line is anchored.
How do I know a part fits my truck?
Use the vehicle filter before you compare anything. Brake parts are application-specific, and the same brand often lists a dozen versions of a part that look identical in a photo and differ at the fitting. If you are not sure, call a store with your year, make, model and lift height in hand.
Are the trailer parts here for any trailer?
They go by the axle, not by the trailer. Hubs and brake upgrade kits are listed by fitment, so look at what is actually under your trailer before ordering. While you are under there, check the breakaway cable too, since that is the item most likely to have been ignored for years.
