Even though the cost of a single size carport skyrocketed to just under 3K, I'm glad we purchased it. The 4 men who installed it were remarkable. Metal Carport and Garage Questions

Widths of 12, 16, 20, 24, 30, 35 or 40 feet, lengths from 21 to 101 feet in 5-foot steps, and leg heights from 7 to 12 feet. You can add a lean-to on either side for extra covered space. The 3D designer above shows every size and prices it as you go.

Yes. In the designer you can enclose the front, back and either side, close a side only part of the way down (3, 6, 9 or 12 feet of wall sheeting), or split the building into an open carport with an enclosed section. Then add roll-up garage doors from 8' x 7' up to 12' x 12', a walk-in door or double door, 2' x 3' windows and framed openings.

Both are offered on every size, and you can switch between them in the designer to see each one in 3D and compare the prices. A vertical roof costs about 20% more than a round roof on the same building.

A 14-gauge galvanized steel frame with 29-gauge sheeting and a 3:12 roof pitch, made in the USA. The galvanized steel carries a 20-year rust-through perforation warranty, and H&H adds its own 1-year warranty against roof leaks on the installation. Altering the structure afterward (spray foam, added framing and the like) voids the leak warranty.

Yes. The price in the designer includes installation by our own crew out of Birmingham, and most installs finish in 1 to 3 days. Installation is a separate, untaxed line at checkout; sales tax applies to the building materials. If you would rather install it yourself, untick installation in the designer to buy the materials only.

You need a square, level pad, preferably concrete; for an enclosed building the pad should be the exact size of the frame. Leave at least 5 feet of flat ground on all four sides for ladders, have electrical power within 100 feet, and clear trees, fences, posts, vehicles and anything else in the way before install day. We are not responsible for leaks or door alignment on a pad that is not level or square.

If our crew arrives and cannot build because the pad is the wrong size, the site is not ready or there is no access, there is a $500 charge and the install is rescheduled. Carports are made to order, so canceling because the site requirements were not met carries a 20% restocking fee. The crew places and anchors the building once; moving it after it is anchored costs $500 to $1,000.

Permits are the customer's responsibility, and rules vary by county and city. On buildings 12 feet tall or taller, the customer also pays for equipment rental. For questions about permits, anchoring or wind ratings for your address, ask your nearest H&H store.

Yes, with financing at checkout, subject to credit approval. Rent-to-own is not available on carports or metal garages; it is for wood and aluminum storage sheds only.
