Measuring your bed
Put a tape measure inside the bed, from the inside of the bulkhead (front wall) to the inside of the closed tailgate. Round to the nearest inch — a 69" measurement is a 5'8" bed.

Start with where the problem is. A hood deflector mounts across the leading edge of the hood and lifts the airstream up and over the windshield, which is what keeps bugs, road grit and stone chips off the glass and the paint behind it. A side window deflector works at the door glass, sheltering the opening so rain runs past instead of into the cab.
A sunroof deflector does the same job at the roof opening, taking the edge off the buffeting you get with a sunroof open at speed. Window shades come at it from the other direction, blocking sun and heat while the vehicle sits parked rather than managing air while it moves.

Common Questions
What is the difference between a hood deflector and a side window deflector?
They solve different problems. A hood deflector mounts at the front edge of the hood and pushes the airstream up and over the windshield, taking bugs, grit and stone chips with it. A side window deflector mounts at the door glass and shelters the opening, so you can run the window down an inch in rain or heat without getting wet.
Can I leave my windows cracked in the rain?
That is the main reason people buy side window deflectors. The deflector sits above the opening and turns rain away from it, so a window down an inch vents hot air and cuts fogging. Mounting styles differ between designs, some sitting inside the window channel and others attaching to the door frame above the glass, so read the listing on the set you want.
