Measuring your bed
Put a tape measure inside the bed, from the inside of the bulkhead (front wall) to the inside of the closed tailgate. Round to the nearest inch — a 69" measurement is a 5'8" bed.

Why Upgrade Your Front Bumper
If you plan on off-roading, need to carry a winch, simply want a more aggressive-looking front end, or if you live where the deer roam free at night, you'll want an aftermarket front bumper. Some vehicles like the Jeep Wrangler offer steel bumpers from the factory, but they're the exception to the rule.
Part of what sets these bumpers apart from their OE counterparts is construction. They're crafted from heavy-gauge steel or aluminum to endure extreme conditions that would cause factory bumpers to crush under pressure. Many models are also finished with a thick powder coating that gives extra durability against harsh conditions, which is a must-have for off-roaders.
Features and Options
Many bumpers include extras like built-in grille guards, winch mounts, and light mounts. Some even have LED lights built in. With so many front bumper options and configurations, you're sure to find the perfect combination of features and the look you want.
What to Know Before You Buy
While some metal truck bumpers have straightforward installations, they are almost always considerably heavier than the original bumpers, so they can be difficult to install for one person. In many cases they may also not be compatible with original equipment fog lights or sensors, so be sure to ask about this when you talk to our pros about your options. Some manufacturers make adapter kits for things like parking sensors, but not all of them do.
One other thing to keep in mind is how your truck will handle the additional weight. On the extreme high end of the scale, some of the heavier bumpers can weigh nearly 300 pounds, not including a 100+ pound winch. That extra weight may require a leveling kit to help make up for any loss of height.
