"The original power-retractable running boards since 2002—now with an extra drop built specifically for lifted trucks and taller rides. The AMP Research® PowerStep™ XL delivers everything the standard PowerStep is known for, with one critical addition––the boards deploy up to three inches lower than the standard PowerStep, making entry and exit significantly easier on lifted vehicles where the standard step height falls short.

Built to perform year after year, the PowerStep XL running boards are constructed from corrosion-resistant aluminum with an advanced powder coat finish engineered to withstand tough daily use without degrading. Stainless steel hinge pins and hardware add long-term durability where it counts. Each board supports up to 300 lbs. per door—the same proven load capacity as the standard PowerStep, in a platform sized for bigger builds.

The PowerStep XL deploys and retracts automatically in harmony with how you use your vehicle—extending when the door opens, and retracting tight and out of sight the moment it closes. A 6-in.-wide step delivers a stable, slip-resistant platform, and integrated LED lighting illuminates the step surface for confident footing in low-light conditions.

AMP Research's patented plug-n-play design connects directly to your vehicle for unmatched seamless integration—no improvised attachments, no complicated wiring, no magnet alignment issues. An optional override switch is available for manual control when needed. For owners already running the standard PowerStep, the XL is the purpose-built upgrade for lifted applications where that extra drop makes a real difference.

Professional installation is recommended for all PowerStep XL running boards, though experienced DIYers can complete the install at home using the included vehicle-specific mounting kit, bracketry, hardware, wiring, and instructions. Drilling is required on select applications. Backed by a 5-year limited warranty."

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ WOW – That’s How You Stand Behind Your Work H&H installed my airbags last year, and recently I ran into an issue where they stopped working. From the very first call, they were incredibly helpful and patient, walking me through troubleshooting over the phone trying to save me a trip. When we couldn’t get it resolved, I called first thing Monday morning and they had me scheduled right away. They got the truck in, diagnosed the issue, and replaced the parts — completely under warranty — no hassle, no excuses. A couple hours later I was back on the road. That’s rare service these days. Professional. Honest. Stand-up guys who truly stand behind their work. H&H is hands down the place to go for all your truck needs. 💪
