Rods, Reels, Lures and Everything Between

Everything for the water sits under here, split into aisles you can actually shop. Rods and reels are separated so you can buy either on its own, with combos for anyone who would rather have the pairing settled for them. Lures and bait is the deepest aisle, and line, tackle, flies and poppers sit alongside it.

How the sub-categories split is worth knowing before you dig in. Rods and Reels are separate because most people replace one and not the other. Rod and Reel Combos are for the times you want the whole thing sorted in one purchase, or you are setting up someone new to it.

Lures and Bait is where the volume is: hard baits, soft plastics and the color families that go with them. Flies and Poppers is kept separate for fly and topwater work. Tackle covers the hooks, weights and terminal gear that make the rest of it useful, and Fishing Line is its own aisle so you can match line to the reel you already own.

The rest is the practical stuff. Aerators and Live Bait Accessories keep bait alive on hot days. Fillet Knives and Tools are for after the trip. Boat Add-ons, Apparel and a misc aisle for whatever does not fit anywhere else finish it off.

Common Questions

Should I buy a combo or a separate rod and reel?

A combo is matched at the factory and priced as one item, which makes it the easy call for a first setup or a spare rod that lives behind the seat. Buying separately makes sense once you know what you like, because you can put a reel you trust on a rod with the action you want and replace either one later.

What is the difference between Lures and Bait and Flies and Poppers?

Lures and Bait covers the everyday hard baits and soft plastics most people throw on spinning and casting gear. Flies and Poppers is kept separate because fly patterns and topwater poppers are a different kind of fishing, with a different presentation and usually different tackle behind them.

Where do I find bait buckets and aerators?

Under Aerators and Live Bait Accessories. That aisle holds the battery-powered aerators and the bait buckets that keep minnows and shiners alive through a long day. It matters most in summer, when water sitting in a bucket in a boat warms up faster than anything in it can tolerate.
