Truck Cap

The Z Series is A.R.E.'s styling cap. A big frameless rear window with a contour strip molded to the tailgate, frameless side vent windows that sit flush with the body, and a cab-height roof line. Inside it is finished: dark gray carpet headliner and a 12V LED dome light that comes on by itself when you tilt the door open.

How it differs from the line next to it

Z and CX are both cab height, but the Z trades the CX's framed sliding side windows for flush frameless vent windows and adds the finished interior as standard. Against the Z2: the Z has a frameless rear window and frameless side vents, while the Z2 goes fully frameless including the front glass and offers a pop-out vent window. If you want opening side windows with screens, the Z is not the line; look at CX Classic or MX.

Who it suits

Owners who care what the truck looks like. A newer truck you want to keep looking factory, or a personal truck where a bolted-on box would spoil the lines.

The detail

Material: Polyester resin laminate fiberglass over a low-filled resin fiberglass substructure with an internal skeleton frame. Windows are frameless and bonded with urethane.Fiberglass
Doors & glass: Frameless rear window, opened by the OneMotion handle onto automotive-style slam latches. Frameless side vent windows. Windows are set in urethane rather than aluminum frames.
Finish: Automotive-grade paint matched to your truck's factory color as standard. Optional OTR UV-stable textured exterior finish.
Warranty: Limited lifetime: the body will be structurally free from defects for as long as you own the cap and the original vehicle. Exterior paint limited lifetime against abnormal fade or peel. OTR coating lifetime against cracking and bubbling, 3 years against fade. Locks, hinges and windows 1 year. Gas props 5 years against pressure loss.
