That is what stops the cabin thumping when you slide the roof back at highway speed, and it lets you leave the roof cracked in light rain. Measuring your bed
Put a tape measure inside the bed, from the inside of the bulkhead (front wall) to the inside of the closed tailgate. Round to the nearest inch — a 69" measurement is a 5'8" bed.
Bed length is measured inside the box, not along the outside of the truck.

The problem a deflector solves is the low-frequency buffeting you get at speed with an open sunroof, the pressure thumping that makes people close the roof again two miles down the road. Redirecting airflow up and over the opening takes most of that away.
The AVS deflectors are listed as outside mounts, sitting above the opening rather than inside a channel, in a classic profile and a pop-out version. WeatherTech has its own. Roof openings differ in width and in the trim around them, so check each listing against your vehicle before ordering.
The rain benefit is worth as much as the noise one in this part of the country. With air lifted over the opening you can leave the roof vented through a summer shower without water coming straight in. Installation is available at any of our stores if you would rather someone else fit it.
