Nerf Bars & Step Bars
Step Bars and Nerf Bars
Trucks keep getting taller, and more difficult to climb into. Even if you have no problem getting in and out of your truck, you may have passengers who struggle. A step bar, also called a nerf bar or side step, is like a built-in step stool for your vehicle: it attaches to the side of your truck and makes entering and exiting a lifted vehicle far easier.

Measuring your bed
Put a tape measure inside the bed, from the inside of the bulkhead (front wall) to the inside of the closed tailgate. Round to the nearest inch — a 69" measurement is a 5'8" bed.
Bed length is measured inside the box, not along the outside of the truck.

When you pick up a set of truck step bars you can choose from plenty of options. Step bars are available in different shapes, widths, lengths, and materials, including traditional round tubing, more modern oval tubing, and slim steel tubing with additional steps, like those from n-Fab.
Each step bar is constructed from sturdy metals like steel or aluminum. They are capable of supporting plenty of weight, so you can get into your vehicle safely and without any worry, and they can also help protect the rocker panels of your truck from damage if you find yourself off-road.
Step bars are an affordable purchase that makes day-to-day use of your truck that much easier. Almost all of the step bars sold today are simple to bolt on, and with each one custom-designed to fit your truck, you can shop knowing you will get a perfect fit.
