Exterior Door Handle Cover
A Fast Trim Change at the Doors
Door handles sit at eye level and hand level, which is why a set of covers changes how a truck reads from across a parking lot. They fit over the factory handle and lever rather than replacing anything, and they come as sets matched to the cab configuration, so you get the right number of pieces for the doors you have.

Measuring your bed
Put a tape measure inside the bed, from the inside of the bulkhead (front wall) to the inside of the closed tailgate. Round to the nearest inch — a 69" measurement is a 5'8" bed.
Bed length is measured inside the box, not along the outside of the truck.

Putco and Auto Ventshade AVS make what is here. The AVS pieces are chrome-plated ABS built to original-equipment plating standards, and they install with automotive tape in a few minutes, with no drilling and nothing to unbolt.
Note the difference between two similar-sounding parts. A door lever cover goes over the lever itself, the piece your fingers pull. A door handle cover is the larger piece that also takes in the cup around it. Some vehicles want one, some want both, and the listing spells out which set covers what.
Sets are cut for a specific cab, so a regular cab kit will not contain the pieces a crew cab needs. Check that before ordering, and clean the handles thoroughly before any tape goes down, since surface prep is what decides whether a tape-on part is still there in three years.
Common Questions
Do I have to drill anything?
Not for the AVS covers, which are a tape-on install that takes minutes on a clean, dry surface. Methods can differ between brands and vehicles, so check the instructions on the specific set you are buying. In warm weather the tape grabs faster and holds better, which is worth knowing if you are doing the work yourself.
Will a set fit my truck?
Covers are cut for a specific vehicle and cab configuration. Regular cab, extended cab and crew cab kits contain different pieces because they cover a different number of doors. Run your year, make, model and cab through the fitment search rather than going by what a photo looks like.
