A: No,​ the Cub does NOT pair with the Gen 2. Cub features Party Mode, which allows users to pair an infinite number of Gen 3’s, Cubs, Rangers, & Grandes together for an unbeatable surround sound experience.

A: Yes, with Party Mode you can pair an infinite number of Cubs for an unbeatable surround sound experience. Or, with TWS (true wireless stereo), you can pair two Cubs in classic Left/Right Stereo Mode.

A: Yes, it floats!

Q: Is the Cub waterproof?

A: Yes, the Cub has an IP-67 Water Ingress Protection Rating meaning it’s completely waterproof (fresh & saltwater) and submersible up to the 3 feet for 30 minutes.

  • Always keep the port cover closed around water.
  • Do NOT allow your speaker to be exposed to any water or moisture while it is being charged or while it is plugged into a power outlet. Doing so can raise the risk of electric shock and also cause damage to your speaker.
  • If the speaker is exposed to saltwater, wash it off with fresh water after use.

Q: Can I charge my device through the Cub?

A: Yes! In order to charge your device using your Turtlebox you’ll need to have a USB-C compatible charger. Plug the USB-C into the out charging port and connect it to your device.

Outstanding customer service! I went to FOUR different places trying to find the right toolbox for my truck. I needed specific measurements to make sure everything would fit properly, and nobody could seem to help me find exactly what I was looking for. Then I went to Leer in Marietta, and what a difference! They knew EXACTLY what I was talking about as soon as I got there. Showed me the toolbox I needed, helped me get everything figured out, and made the whole process easy. After wasting time running around to four other places, it was a relief to finally find someone who actually knew their products and cared about helping the customer. Huge shoutout to the team at Leer!! Great customer service, knowledgeable staff, and an all-around excellent experience. I’ll definitely be coming back for any future truck accessories. They got me in early, took care of my aloe plant and left the truck running so it would be cool for me and my dogs when we got back in it. You could say i was boujee and and they didn’t bat an eye about. And they were quick and showed me how it works. They were all just the best.. i would definitely come again and recommend this place.
