The 100XR pairs a frameless compound-curved rear door with ordinary sliding side windows, which is the point of it: you get the clean rear-end look but keep the side glass that actually slides open. It also has the widest choice of sides in the recreational range - sliders, radius windoors, side-access doors or solid panels - plus three toolbox layouts, so it crosses over into light work use.

Where it sits in the range

These are LEER's fiberglass camper shells - the recreational caps. All of them are molded to fit one specific truck, painted in Axalta automotive paint, and clamped on with J-bolts, so nothing gets drilled. What separates them is glass and height: how the side windows open, whether the rear door is frameless, and whether the cap sits level with the cab or rises above it.

How it differs from the line next to it

The XR is the bridge between the plain 100R and the frameless 100XQ. It uses the 100R's sliding side windows but the XQ's frameless rear glass, and it keeps the side-access doors and toolbox options the XQ and XL do not offer. If you want frameless glass all the way round, go to the XQ. If you want frameless rear glass but a cap that can take a side door and a toolbox, this is it.

The owner who wants a good-looking cap but hauls real things in it, and may want a side door or a toolbox rather than a picture window.
