The DCC is LEER's aluminum work cap and the only non-fiberglass unit in the commercial range. The exterior is .035 smooth-skin aluminum in white or black over a TIG-welded 'Super Cage' roof structure, so it will carry a ladder rack all day. Side lift doors with stainless drop T-handles open the whole flank of the bed, and there are eleven toolbox, divider and shelf layouts to build the inside around a trade.

The commercial caps are built for a truck that works. Solid sides instead of glass, so nothing on show and a flat panel for lettering; structural reinforcement in the roof so it will carry a ladder rack; and interior lighting and toolbox layouts aimed at finding a tool in the dark. Note the warranty is different here - LEER's commercial fiberglass caps carry a five-year limited warranty, not the lifetime term on the recreational caps.

The DCC is the only aluminum cap LEER sells. Against the fiberglass commercial caps (100RCC, 100SCC, 180CC): aluminum is lighter and takes a dent rather than a crack, and the DCC's side lift doors give you the whole side of the bed instead of a small access door. The trade-off is the finish - the DCC comes in white or black, not the truck's paint color, and it looks like a work cap. Buy the DCC when the cap is a tool; buy a fiberglass CC when it also has to look tidy in a customer's driveway.
