Truck Cap

DCU MAX is the same commercial cap as the DCU with a heavier hide. The exterior skin goes from .035-inch to .063-inch aluminum over the same .050-inch TIG-welded frame, and the full rear doors get stainless steel strap hinges. If your cap gets loaded, leaned on and knocked about all week, this is the one that shrugs it off.

How it differs from the line next to it

Sits between the DCU and the Diamond Edition. Against the DCU: same frame, same doors, same warranty, but a .063-inch skin instead of .035-inch, plus stainless strap hinges on the rear doors. Against the Diamond Edition: same .063-inch thickness, but MAX is smooth painted aluminum where the Diamond Edition is polished diamond plate. Choose MAX if you want the durability without the bright tread-plate look.

Who it suits

Commercial fleets and trades running hard mileage, where a cap has to last several trucks' worth of service and dents cost money at trade-in.

Warranty: 3-year limited warranty against structural and paint defects. Covers the unit body only: exterior skin, framework and mounting rails.
