The NexCap Lo is the low version - 13.75 inches, so it keeps close to the bed rail line instead of standing up like a full cap. It is built from high-strength aluminum and steel with the same T-slot channels running through it, so bikes, kayaks and rack gear mount straight to the top. Access panels lock.

The NexCap family is new and does not behave like the rest of the line. These are metal caps built on T-slot rails rather than molded fiberglass, so racks, MOLLE panels and storage bolt straight to the body and can be changed later. They ship as a kit and go on with standard tools.

The same on every one of them
Against the standard NexCap: the same system, roughly seven inches shorter. You lose interior height and the published 660 lb roof rating, and you keep a much lower profile. Against a painted lid like the 700: the Lo is taller and gives you a rack-ready top, but it is bare metal rather than paint-matched to the truck.
Someone who wants covered, locked bed storage and a mounting surface on top, but does not want the look or the wind of a full-height cap.
