A panhard rod, or track bar, is a critical component of your axle assembly. Track bars prevent lateral (side) movement in your axle. If you have a faulty track bar, you’ll notice plenty of obvious symptoms: vibration in your steering wheel, loose steering, and strange sounds. If you’re a Jeep owner, “death wobble,” a condition where your vehicle shakes at high speeds, can make your Jeep impossible to control. For the safety of you and those around you, get faulty track bar systems replaced ASAP.
