A panhard rod, or track bar, is a critical component of your axle assembly. Track bars prevent lateral (side) movement in your axle. If you have a faulty track bar, you’ll notice plenty of obvious symptoms: vibration in your steering wheel, loose steering, and strange sounds. If you’re a Jeep owner, “death wobble,” a condition where your vehicle shakes at high speeds, can make your Jeep impossible to control.
