Front Bumpers at H&H Truck Accessories
Today’s trucks and SUVs are built to Federally-mandated specifications, regarding crashes and impacts. While some vehicles like the Jeep Wranglers offer some steel bumpers, they are more of an exception to the rules. Trucks that are produced with metal bumpers are made with lighter-gauge metals, in order to absorb impacts. While that’s great for saving your hide in the event of a catastrophic collision, they do little to protect the vehicle itself and – let’s face it – they’re boring.
If you plan on off-roading, need to carry a winch, simply want a more aggressive-looking front end, or if you live where the deer roam free at night, you’ll want to look for an aftermarket truck front bumper. H&H has more options than you can shake an antler at, so you’ve come to the right place.
Part of what sets these bumpers apart from their OE counterparts is construction. They're crafted from heavy gauge steel or aluminum to endure extreme conditions that would cause factory bumpers to crush under pressure. Many bumper models are also finished off with a thick powder coating that gives extra durability against harsh conditions, which is a must-have for off-roaders.
Many bumpers include extras like built-in grille guards, winch mounts, and light mounts. Some even have LED lights built-in! With so many front truck bumper options and configurations, you’re sure to find the perfect combination of features and the look you want at H&H.
While some metal truck bumpers have pretty straightforward installations, they are almost always considerably heavier than the original bumpers, so they can be difficult to install for one person. In many cases, they may also not be compatible with any original equipment fog lights or sensors, so be sure to ask about this when you talk to our pros about your options. Some manufacturers do make adapter kits for things like parking sensors, but not all of them.
One other thing to keep in mind when shopping for front truck bumpers is how your truck will handle any additional weight. While definitely on the extreme high end of the scale, some of the heavier bumpers like the Ranch Hand Sport can weigh nearly 300 pounds, not including a 100+ pound winch! This extra weight may require a leveling kit to help make up for any loss of height.
Shopping for a front bumper definitely requires some thought and consideration and the pros at H&H will be happy to help explain them, so you can make an informed decision.
The sales man was great. He showed me bumpers and steps for my truck. Knowledgeable and not overbearing. He made it a great trip.
