Forged in the Fires of American Spirit
In 1970, two brothers from Indiana, named William and Roger Anderson built their first cattle trailer for a customer in Hartsville, TN. It didn't take long for word to spread and other members of the community wanted trailers of their own.
In 1973 William and Roger figured they ought to go legit and Wil-Ro, Inc. came to be - combining the brothers' names - get it now? They began manufacturing trailers for horses, farming, equipment, and even starting gates for horse racing out of their factory in Gallatin, TN.
The company continued growing and the brothers moved to a new factory in 1979, where it still resides today. The following decades were spent building truck bodies, gooseneck trailers, and larger-scale horse and cattle trailers, further increasing their market and their reputation.
Throughout the 1990s, Wil-Ro expanded their product lines with new offerings, such as fabrication for truck bodies, dump trailers, and roll-off boxes. They also introduced their Landscape Truck Body Series.
By 2004, truck bodies became the sole product for Wil-Ro, solidifying the foundation for today's offerings. Wil-Ro manufactured the Trail Hauler brand, custom upfitting Freightliner commericial trucks with high-end truck bodies and custom interiors, as well as starting production of its Flatbed Hauler series.
Since then, Wil-Ro has continued to focus on truck body manufacturing and the development of additional offerings for the Hauler Series.
Today, Wil-Ro not only produces truck bodies, but also their Adventure Trailer Series. Wil-Ro offers trailers are perfect for campers, outdoor enthusiasts, and overlanders and are built with the same craftsmanship as their truck bodies.
