Blind Spot Detection System; w/Cross Traffic Detection;
The new and improved Brandmotion Radar Blind Spot monitoring and detection system has evolved into a universal solution for almost any vehicle. It works with any year vehicle with plastic bumper covers, including Hybrid and Electric vehicles. The newly updated and improved system uses an advanced 77-hertz radar system that integrates the ECU in the bumper sensor. The higher frequency and ECU integration allow the system to sense vehicle speed using both sensors, eliminating the need for CAN-BUS detection and unreliable GPS connections. Based on components validated by Toyota, it's the only system based on original equipment components resulting in a seamless OEM-like fit, finish, and performance. The new Brandmotion system turns on at 18mph (29kph) and still includes cross-traffic parking lot detection in reverse. The updated Smart System Software eliminates 95% of false triggers common in other systems. The RDBS-1600 comes complete with all the mounting hardware necessary for installation including the corrosion-resistant sensor mounting brackets.
